Covid-19 Watch: 679 new cases bring total to 5,025,581

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 679 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday (Dec 29), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry's KKMNow portal, 675 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 4 imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 5,025,581 cases since the pandemic began. A total of 6 deaths were recorded on Thursday with 1 case of brought in dead, bringing the total to 36,851.
