PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 318 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday (Jan 19), bringing the total number of cases in the country to 5,033,943 infections since the pandemic began.
The Health Ministry's KKMNow portal reported that 317 of Thursday's new Covid-19 cases were local transmissions while one imported infection was logged.
The portal also reported that there were 10,377 active cases currently in the country, with 9,960, or 96%, observing home quarantine. The ICU utilisation rate nationwide stood at 64.1%, with 11 states or localities recording ICU usage rates of more than 60%.
