PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 204 new Covid-19 infections on Friday (Feb 24), says the Health Ministry.

The Health Ministry said through data released on its KKMNow portal on Saturday that this brings the new total to 5,042,015 cases since the pandemic began.The ministry also said through its KKMNow portal that there were 254 recoveries on Friday bringing the total number of active cases in Malaysia to 9,220.

Of the active cases, 96.6% or 8,907 individuals are undergoing home quarantine, while 3.3% of active cases or 304 individuals need to be hospitalised, with nine warded in intensive care units throughout the country.
