COVID-19: Three more dormitories gazetted as isolation areas, total at 12 via yahoosg
SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Health has gazetted three more foreign worker dormitories – Shaw Lodge Dormitory, North Coast Lodge and Tuas View Dormitory – to be isolation areas in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19.
This brings the total of isolation areas due to COVID-19 infection to 12. All of them are foreign worker dormitories. As of Thursday noon, there are 28 confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection at Shaw Lodge Dormitory, 26 at North Coast Lodge and 73 at Tuas View Dormitory. In an online notice on the Government Gazette on Thursday night, the MOH said that the premises at 12 Shaw Road , five dormitory blocks at 51 North Coast Avenue and 20 blocks at 70 Tuas South Avenue 1 will be isolated from Thursday under the Infectious Diseases Act.The other nine isolated dormitories are the S11 Dormitory@Punggol, Westlite Toh Guan Dormitory, Toh Guan Dormitory, Sungei Tengah Lodge, Tampines Dormitory, Cochrane Lodge I, Cochrane Lodge II, Acacia Lodge and Mandai Lodge.
