KualaLumpur Pengerusi UDA Holdings Berhad, Datuk Hisham Hamdan menafikan gelombang kedua Covid-19 di negara ini berpunca daripadanya.
Dalam kenyataan, hari ini, beliau memaklumkan mendapat simptom demam dan batuk pada 27 Februari lalu sebelum mendapatkan rawatan dan ujian termasuk untuk Covid-19 di hospital swasta di Subang Jaya kerana bimbang dirinya dijangkiti demam denggi.
“Gelombang kedua kes Covid-19 di Malaysia berkaitan dengan saya adalah jelas tetapi yang dikaitkan dengan saya dan berasal dari saya adalah dua perkara yang sama sekali berbeza,” katanya. “Saya ada menghadiri beberapa mesyuarat bersama individu ke-21 hingga ke-27 yang disahkan positif virus berkenaan dan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia masih mengesan individu yang berkemungkinan dijangkiti,” katanya.
Hisham berkata, ketika lawatan beliau ke Shanghai untuk menghadiri persidangan bermula 13 hingga 17 Januari lalu, tiada kes Covid-19 disahkan dari bandar raya berkenaan ketika itu.
