South Africa has just under 90,000 active cases, with a recovery rate of 83%.

In Mpumalanga, 46 patients died, 37 in Gauteng, 31 in KZN, 25 in the Eastern Cape and 5 in the Western Cape.Gauteng is still recording most of the new cases daily.
