putrajaya Semua 83 rakyat Malaysia yang ke Indonesia mengikuti perhimpunan tabligh di negara itu, akan dibawa ke sebuah pusat kuarantin yang digazetkan selama 14 hari, sebaik pulang ke negara ini.

Menteri Kesihatan, Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba berkata, sekiranya peserta berkenaan pulang ke negara ini mereka akan melalui beberapa proses saringan di pintu masuk negara.

“Kita maklum bahawa lebih 80 orang dari Malaysia berada di Sulawesi dan kita ambil keputusan kalau mereka balik ke negara ini, kita saring mereka di pintu masuk negara serta akan dikuarantin selama 14 hari di pusat kuarantin yang kita gazetkan,” katanya.Sebelum ini media melaporkan ribuan jemaah tabligh di seluruh Asia berhimpun di Indonesia untuk menghadiri Ijtima Dunia 2020 Zon Asia, tanpa menghiraukan kebimbangan pertemuan itu berisiko menyebarkan koronavirus baharu .

Perhimpunan itu dijadualkan selepas dua minggu acara sama yang berlangsung di Malaysia dan menyebabkan lebih 500 individu dijangkiti wabak berkenaan. Dianggarkan 8,695 individu menyertai perhimpunan itu yang diadakan di Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan berhampiran bandar Makasar, sebelum ia dibatalkan berikutan kebimbangan penularan wabak Covid-19.

Terdahulu, lebih 16,000 pengikut menyertai perhimpunan tabligh itu ketika ia berlangsung pada 27 Februari hingga 1 Mac lalu di Masjid Seri Petaling di Kuala Lumpur.
