The Covid-19 pandemic could shutter a third of all U.S. museums

An additional 17% responded that they didn’t know if they were at risk, while only 67% of respondents said they did not believe there was a significant risk of closure., conducted in June, also found that 65% of museums had furloughed or laid off more than 20% of their staff, and 56% of museums only have six months or less of operating reserves remaining.
