Covid-19: Malaysia records 269 new cases, total now at 5,038,812

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 269 new Covid-19 infections on Thursday (Feb 9), bringing the total number of cases in the country to 5,038,812 since the pandemic began.

The Health Ministry's KKMNow portal reported that 268 of Thursday's new Covid-19 cases were locally transmitted while there was one imported infection.

As at 11.59pm Thursday, there were 9,786 active infections in the country with 9,391, or 96%, observing home quarantine. Of those in ICU as at 11.59pm Thursday, four were unventilated while four required ventilator support.
