The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Mandaluyong City soared to 551 after 15 new confirmed cases were recorded on Saturday.

Data from the City Health Department showed that there were 325 active cases of COVID-19 in Mandaluyong, with 50 deaths, and 176 recoveries.

The two neighboring villages were recently placed on lockdown due to the high number of residents who contracted the virus.
