CLEVELAND, Ohio - A Cleveland dad accused of killing his 27-day-old baby boy has a hearing Thursday in front of Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey Saffold.
In May, Deondre Hairston pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter. He was scheduled to be sentenced on June 10, but then told the judge he wants to change his plea.The infant’s mom, Diamond Caldwell, also pleaded guilty in May. Caldwell pleaded guilty to endangering children and obstructing justice. She will not be sentenced until after Hairston’s case is resolved.
