A state judge has refused Utah lawmakers’ attempt to overturn earlier rulings and bring back the 2021 congressional map, keeping the court-ordered map in place for the 2026 elections. In newly released legal findings, the judge said the lawmakers’ request was procedurally improper and emphasized they had chances to appeal but chose not to.
