A HERO couple rescued two stranded Brits and drove them more than 1,300 miles from Poland to the UK in a £350 Peugeot after the coronavirus outbreak left them stuck abroad.
He then drove 24 hours overnight through Germany, Belgium and France as Europe went into virus-enforced lockdown. Ian and Jen had flown to Poland on March 11 for an extended weekend break in the vibrant city to celebrate his 50th birthday. They spoke to the Ryanair staff who were unable to help, so they had to think of another way to get home.
