A furious Chorley resident says she has been slapped with a £100 fine after leaving her car for five minutes while she dropped off donations at a charity shop.
Christine said she usually goes along with her husband and jumps out of the car to go into the shop, but this time he went on his own. "It's right on the traffic lights, opposite Asda and there's a bus stop outside and she said you could have just pulled up outside. But, it's so busy there, if anybody had an accident because I had just pulled up there, I would never forgive myself."
"Well, my husband's waiting for an operation on his spine and he can't walk across from Asda." Christine continued: "We're both pensioners, in our 70s and I just thought, flipping heck £100?
