The Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested 33-year-old Chad Niles and 34-year-old Nichole Niles on charges of grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony. Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy reported that the couple reportedly received $1,512 in overpaid SNAP benefits between April 1, 2022, and May 30, 2022, due to unreported household income.
The arrest followed a joint investigation by the Sheriff's Office and the Department of Social Services.
