A couple in Canada narrowly avoided being struck by a meteorite that crashed outside their home just minutes after they left for a walk. Their doorbell camera captured the dramatic moment the space rock hurtled out of the sky and exploded on impact, leaving behind a star-shaped pattern of debris.

"The shocking thing for me is that I was standing right there a couple of minutes right before this impact," Velaidum toldHe and Kelly rinsed their walkway immediately after they found the debris.
