Possible exposure occurred between Jan. 27 and Feb. 29
People who traveled on the San Diego Trolley Blue Line between Jan. 27 and Feb. 29, 2024, should be on the lookout for tuberculosis symptoms, according to a warning issued Tuesday by the county health department.
'Depending on the specific circumstances, we may go back three or even six months prior to a person's diagnosis,' Percak said. Prolonged exposure in close quarters is necessary for infections to spread from person to person, and those with weakened immune systems, or who take immune system-suppressing medications, are at greatest risk. Symptoms include persistent cough, fever, night sweats and unexplained weight loss.
