Perry County is one of three Pennsylvania counties that did not apply to participate in a new state home repairs program.
The program would provide funding for a local nonprofit or governmental entity to make money available to homeowners whose household income does not exceed 80% of the area median income, as well as making loans available to small landlords renting affordable units and securing those loans with a mortgage recorded against the residential property.
