DYS Deputy Director of Community Services Christopher Narcisse confirmed the camp’s license was reinstated in February, but no kids have been back at the facility since the shutdown.
The camp for troubled kids was shut down following a failed inspection and an employee being arrested on seventeen counts of child abuse . HENRY COUNTY , Ala. - Henry County Commission Chairman David Money told News4 two organizations are in talks with county officials about stepping in at Camp SAYLA.
Chairman Money did not release the names of the organizations, but stressed the importance of the camp if ran properly.
