Longtime WSM Radio personality Bill Cody has died, according to an announcement from WSM Radio. He was 73.

Longtime WSM Radio personality Bill Cody has died, according to an announcement from WSM Radio. He was 67. Cody spent more than 30 years on Nashville-based WSM-AM, where he hosted the morning program Coffee, Country & Cody. He joined the station in 1994 and became one of the most recognizable voices in country music radio.

In addition to his work on WSM, Cody frequently served as a host for the Grand Ole Opry, including Opry Country Classics, and appeared on television and syndicated radio programs. His broadcasting career earned several honors, including induction into the Country Radio Hall of Fame and a star on the Music City Walk of Fame. Police are investigating after a fight broke out outside the Capitol City Mall Monday, and the altercation was caught on video.
