NASA is getting ready for another launch attempt of the Artemis rocket later this week:
Nicole caused damage to some buildings in the region, including erosion that left dozens of buildings deemed unsafe in Volusia County, just to the north of the space center. Several buildings in Brevard were also declared unsafe.in late September. The storm forced the rocket back into the Vehicle Assembly Building, a giant hangar at the space center.
Before that, technical issues including a liquid hydrogen leak forced NASA to scrub launch attempts in August and September.maintenance work, conduct mission rehearsals, change and recharge batteries and do other work on the launch vehicle and capsule, according to NASA’s Associate Administrator for Exploration Systems Development Jim Free.in Volusia County, just north of Kennedy Space Center, as the storm moved across the state.

Having a launch in November as the heart of Florida's dry season kicks off generally means better weather overall. There's less chance for daily pop-up thunderstorms, although cooler temperatures can bring their own challenges.
"Cold fronts can occasionally surge into Central Florida this time of year and produce bouts of rain and/or thunderstorms. Those fronts can also be accompanied by strong wind gusts," said weather.com senior digital meteorologist Chris Dolce. "But as long as no fronts are lurking nearby in mid-November, the month as a whole is generally more hospitable for good launch conditions when compared to summer’s often storm-plagued afternoons.
