The initiative, which kicked off on Monday, January 9, is asking parents, carers, and all primary and secondary school pupils for their views on school meals.
The council is looking to find out what children and young people eat for lunch, what they love about their school meals, as well as what kind of foods they'd like to see on the menu. The council is also looking to find out what factors are important to parents and carers, such as cost and variety. The survey will be available for the next four weeks.
"Well-nourished, healthy children thrive at school and we are appealing to parents and carers to fill in this survey so we can ensure we are getting it right. "Please take the time to let us know your views, the survey doesn't take long to complete, and we want to hear from as many people as possible.
"At the end of the consultation period, we'll share the information we have gathered and use the feedback to help us plan our menus going forward."
