A CoE should take the authoritative role of defining and tracking value from their generative AI-enabled framework.
Due to current hype, many departments, teams and individuals will take the initiative to use ChatGPT or other generative AI tools on their own, in diverse and partially conflicting ways. Governance would define best practices on how to use generative AI, where to challenge it and how to share the results.
Your employees need to understand the existing capabilities, limitations, ways of working and impacts of change to effectively contribute to successful generative AI implementation projects. Importantly, training should not be a one-off event; with technology advancing so fast in this space, it is critical to keep ahead of the curve and ensure your CoE remains at the forefront of new innovations and developments.
