More than 150,000 people are expected to enjoy Scotland’s biggest festival with acts such as Pulp, The 1975, Kasabian, Sam Fender and George Ezra taking to the main stage.
Glasgow City Council says it is pleased to work with the trade unions to deploy an effective cleansing operation this weekend.“Over the last 12 months we have been raising concerns about street cleansing in general. There are going to be tens of thousands of people descending on Glasgow Green this weekend.
“This will also make a difference in the clean up process around the park. The council has done the right thing this year.” A council spokesman said: “Large events such as TRNSMT attract increased footfall and unfortunately that does lead to additional littering in public spaces.
