She has suggested the better mobilization of churches, including smaller ones that don’t always get attention from candidates. She said going after apartment dwellers is difficult, but could be a boon. And she insisted on canvassing ZIP codes that may have blight or high crime statistics — voters live there.
“There are people that are not accounted for because they’re just getting into the game,” Crockett said of potential voters. “Beto is able to excite folks that have never been involved in the game, and he’s got the financial reach to do more than the average person running statewide. I just wish he had a stronger ticket overall.”
