The Eagles could look to trade A.J. Brown this offseason, according to an ESPN report.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown looks on after the touchdown catch during an NFL football game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, in Philadelphia.A.J. Brown wasn’t dealt at the trade deadline.

But as the 2025 regular season winds down, the star wide receiver’s days with the Philadelphia Eagles could be numbered. The defending Super Bowl champions “could look to move Brown” in the offseason, according to a Wednesday report fromFowler, in his weekly insider intel column on ESPN, was prompted to discuss his “most interesting offseason trade candidate.” He picked the Eagles’ three-time All-Pro. Fowler spoke to “several executives” who believe Brown — who has generated headlines with comments on the Eagles’ offense this season — could be on the trading block. “He would undoubtedly have a market,” Fowler wrote. Brown, 28, is due $50 million in cash over the next two years, which is “manageable for a WR1.” “The Eagles would absorb a $20 million cap hit if he’s traded before June 1, or they could save $7 million on the cap by waiting until after June 1 to deal him. Either way, the Eagles have shown cap challenges won’t deter them ,” Fowler wrote. “And it seems that Brown would welcome a new passing game at this point.” Brown is tracking toward his least productive season since joining the Birds in 2022. Through 13 games, he has 64 catches for 840 yards and seven touchdowns. Brown’s 64.6 receiving yards per game and 13.1 yards per catch are on-pace for career lows. Brown wasn’t shy about what he thought of the Eagles’ offense earlier this season, imploring for the ball to help a struggling unit. Brown has had seven games with 50 receiving yards or less; the Eagles are 6-1 in those games. He’s had five games of 100 yards or more; the Eagles are 2-3 in those games. That’s not to say the Eagles would be better off without Brown. He was integral in last season’s Super Bowl run even with the passing game taking a backseat.
