“Under the Biden-Harris administration, everything has gone to hell, and it will be much worse under Kamala Harris,” Cotton said on CNN’shas emerged as the front-runner to be the Democratic nominee after President Joe Biden exited the race last week, Republicans have pointed to her record and previous policy stances to argue she is too hard Left to be president.
Cotton echoed these concerns during an interview on CNN, saying he believed Harris would bring too many liberal policy goals to the White House.Tapper clarified that Harris wants to ban certain types of guns, but not all, to which Cotton said, “She wants to forcefully confiscate guns without even an act of Congress to do so.”
Cotton and fellow Republicans have been talking about progressive policies Harris embraced during her presidential campaign in 2020 as a way to attack her new candidacy. Cotton said Trump was “obviously making a joke about how bad things have been under Joe Biden and how good they’ll be if we send President Trump back to the White House so we can turn the country around again.
