COTA is honoring U.S. military veterans free fares on Friday and Saturday. COTA announced it will allow veterans to ride for free on Friday and Saturday.Veterans can provide their military-issued identification to the transit
operator when boarding a bus, wear a veterans hat or article of clothing, or they can simply tell the driver they are a veteran or active member of the military, COTA said. Fares will be waived for all veterans or active military on COTA’s fixed-route buses, COTA Mainstream ADA service, and COTA//Plus in Grove City, Westerville and South Columbus.
Veterans qualify for a 50-percent discount on all fares every day by going to the COTA Customer Experience Center at 33 North High Street to apply.
