Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird, along with 18 other state attorneys general, sent a letter to Costco demanding the wholesale giant abandon its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices. Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird on Monday joined 18 other state attorneys general in sending a letter to Costco demanding the wholesale giant abandon its diversity, equity and inclusion practices.
In a letter addressed to Costco President and CEO Ron Vachris, Bird and his fellow attorneys general informed the company its DEI policies may violate the law. Costco did not respond Tuesday when asked by The National News Desk if it would comply with the demands included in the letter.
