Suddenly that flush or run of the tap is costing more in the Philadelphia suburbs. Some customers reported a jolt when opening their Aqua bills in the last few weeks. JoeHoldenCBS3 reports
“It’s only my wife and I. Usually around maybe $35, $40. I think the last one I saw was $55,” Springfield resident Bob Clancy said.
It projected average costs for a household would increase by 12%. Wastewater service for a smaller fraction would see a 59% jump. Urso did a double-take at her July bill. Her bill was $216. Other bills reviewed by Eyewitness News show 50% and 60% increases for some customers since May.
