Speaking to the Sky News Daily podcast with Niall Paterson, teachers have said they're concerned about the effects of spiralling energy costs
"The arts, drama, those kind of enhancements, that really are important to me. An educator will suddenly become budgetary. Two decisions that I'm struggling to make.
"That's following the COVID shutdown that we saw of schools for quite a long time. But... the resource base they've got to do that has now been really squeezed through the cost of living crisis." Likewise, Robert Halfon MP, the Conservative chair of the education select committee, told the podcast that he thinks the next education secretary needs a fresh approach.
