General Motors isn't releasing specific lap times, but they've confirmed the ZR1's dominance at Watkins Glen, Road America, Road Atlanta, and Virginia International Raceway.

Bill Wise, the lead performance engineer on the ZR1 project, set the record at Watkins Glen's Long Course with a blistering pace. Brian Wallace took the wheel at Road America, lapping the circuit over five seconds faster than the previous record held by a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Chris Barber, another key development engineer, piloted the ZR1 at Road Atlanta, dethroning a Porsche 911 GT2 RS by two seconds.
