There’s a massive shock in store for Ed Bailey in tonight ’s Coronation Street when work starts on his new building site – and a grisly discovery is made.
The delayed diggers finally arrive at the site and the work can begin. Site manager Neil reminds his workers that they have to wear hard hats at all times on the site. Ed asks Neil to keep an eye on that issue because health and safety isn’t a joke. ‘We don’t want anyone ending up six feet under,’ he says – a remark that turns out to be an accurate prediction of the events that are about to unfold.
A shocked worker calls Ed over, asking him to come and look at something. As Ed walks over and looks at what the digger has uncovered, he looks shocked.This is the moment when Stephen Reid ’s crimes start to come to light, as the digger has uncovered a dead body. Everything starts to unravel for Stephen from now on, as it won’t be long before news of the gruesome discovery makes its way back to him.
