It’s do or die for Stephen Reid as he plots his escape from the cobbles and no one is safe as he attacks his own niece and holds Jenny hostage in scenes set to air tonight
It’s an injury usually seen in car crash victims. But Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien has opened up about how she sustained painful ‘whiplash’ while filming the dramatic finale of Super Soap Week.
“I literally gave myself whiplash. I could not move my neck the next day because we must have had to do it about 15 times. Honest to God, the next day I thought ‘this is not for me’.” Both Sarah and Jenny end up in the recently closed pub discussing the extent of Stephen’s crimes - but they don’t realise they’re in danger until they go to leave The Rovers and Stephen attacks Sarah with a bottle.
With Sarah on the floor, it’s up to Jenny to bring Stephen to justice and she confronts him in an attempt to get him to confess. “She wants to know why he did it, what he's done and that she, in that moment, Jenny sees that as far more important than her own safety.”
