She and her dog were reported missing out of Lancaster County earlier in the day.

The 67-year-old Washington Boro woman died from freshwater drowning, the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office said.

The woman was found in the river near the 2000 block of River Road in Washington Boro around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said. Her Jack Russell terrier was found dead in the water with her, the coroner’s office said. Manor Township police reported the woman and her dog missing earlier in the day Tuesday. Her car was found parked at the nearby Washington Boro Park.
