The tennis star and his wife Mirka say they have donated 1 million Swiss francs "for the most vulnerable families" in Switzerland.
Federer says he and Mirka, also a tennis player, hope"others might join in supporting more families in need".The former California governor and Hollywood actor has pledged $1m towards the coronavirus relief effort. "This is a simple way to protect our real action heroes on the front lines in our hospitals, and I'm proud to be part of it.
