Coronavirus: Son finds way around lockdown to talk to elderly dad - and it goes viral
A man has beaten the coronavirus lockdown at his elderly father's care home in a touching moment that has gone viral.
A picture of the two chatting on the phone while separated by the US facility's window has been shared more than 700,000 times after being posted online by a member of staff. Care worker Sandy Hamiliton was on shift when she witnessed the moment between the father who lives at the home in Minnesota and his son, who visits every day.The elderly man is seen sitting in an armchair inside his room while his son sits outside the window - as they spoke on the phone to one another.
She posted it to Facebook, saying:"My assisted living is on lockdown so he comes every day to see his dad and they talk through the phone, sweetest thing ever."Sandy said she got consent to share the photo on social media, which has also been liked more than 120,000 times and commented on 17,000 times.
Social media user Elizabeth Espinosa wrote:"Just beautiful!!! What a good son! example to all. Pure Love."
