BRITAIN'S coronavirus crisis will continue until spring 2021, a secret document from Public Health England (PHE) reveals, as nearly eight million Britons are expected to need hospital treatment.
The briefing delivers a shock long-term assessment of the epidemic which has so far seen 1,372 people infected with the viral disease while in the UK while 35 have died. The document lays out the depths of the strain set to be placed on the NHS over the next 12 months. The report, seen by the Guardian, says PHE is preparing for the possibility of 80 percent of Britain’s 66.4 million inhabitants being infected over the coming year.
