Centers for Disease Control advice after president backed away from sealing state borders; worldwide deaths pass 30,000 with a third in Italy
Domestic abuse victims are allowed to leave home to seek help despite the lockdown rules, the home secretary Priti Patel has said. Writing in the Mail on Sunday, Patel said restrictions imposed on the population by the government to stay indoors were even more challenging to cope with for people whose “home is not the safe haven it should be”.
