AstraZeneca has signed a $15m deal with an Oxford firm to manufacture a Covid-19 vaccine.
Hans Kluge, World Health Organisation Europe regional director, said a host of factors meant hospitals were likely to see an increase in the number of Covid-19 patients this autumn. He said local lockdowns were the best way to target any outbreaks, however, rather than national shutdowns.
