K-pop star Jaejoong has come under fire after announcing he was being treated in hospital for coronavirus as an April Fool's joke.after"ignoring" government warnings and"living carelessly".
A few hours later, the 34-year-old South Korean admitted his prank, saying he wanted to raise awareness about the disease. The post has since been deleted. However, fans were not too happy, posting angry comments chastising the star, whose real name is Kim Jae-joong, for joking about such a serious issue.
This is not the first time Jaejoong has surprised fans with an April Fool's joke, previously announcing false marriage plans and pretending to faint during a gig.
