As UK schools are set to shut 'in days', Dr Rebecca Schrag Hershberg, author of The Tantrum Survival Guide, offers advice
As schools in Scotland and Wales shut their doors amid the global coronavirus pandemic, parents in England are waiting for the news that their children will be sent home imminently until further notice.
Not only will it disrupt the economy, it'll have a huge impact on children and parents across the country. Right now, it's difficult to know exactly what to do and advice will vary from household to household, but we spoke to psychologist and parenting expert Dr Rebecca Schrag Hershberg, author ofIt's easy to adopt the mindset of 'I don't want to scare my children by talking to them about this whole situation; I don't want to plant that seed', but it's important that we are the grown-ups and start the conversation with our kids.
