Coronation Street fans are worrying for Peter Barlow after recent scenes leave him connected to Rufus Donahue's murder.
Coronation Street viewers have been left worried that Peter Barlow might get bumped off or framed for murder by Stephen Reid in his exit plot.
Earlier this year, Rufus Donahue became Stephen's third victim as he recently attended the memorial service. Rufus' widow Lou shows Stephen her late husband's belongings, where the killer spots his own tie-pin in amongst the items. In scenes set to air next week, Stephen overhears Peter on a call to the pawnbroker, hoping to make amends by getting the watch back. This leads Peter to confessing to Stephen that he pawned the watch but it had been sold.
Taking to social media after Friday's episode aired, one fan theorised: "Peter took Rufus’s watch when it fell off his wrist in the cab and sold it to pay for Carla’s rehab. Could be start of peters exit if he becomes a suspect. #Corrie."
