The spectacular Coronation concert yesterday evening was packed with performances from famous stars
The magnificent Coronation concert featured singers like Paloma Faith, Kate Perry, Take That and Olly Murs perform in front of King Charles and the Royal Family yesterday with some quite stand out moments that won't be easily forgotten.
The show was presented live on the BBC by Kirsty Young who invited viewers to "crack open the fizz and settle down for a night to remember". However, many ignored her advice and took to Twitter instead to claim they wouldn't be tuning in for the event at Windsor Castle. Another amused viewer wrote :"Not tom cruise you can be my wingman anytiming King Charles. I'm weak." A third questioned: "Bit confused by the bit where Tom Cruise said it'd be ok for the King to be his wingman."
Miss Piggy Despite the Coronation being a monumental British event, much of the royal concert featured performers from overseas with even some American fictional characters performing on screen during the broadcast. However viewers at home did not find this as funny with one unimpressed person scoffing: "Kermit and Miss Piggy…who next? Mr Blobby? [Man shaking his head emoji] #Coronation #CoronationConcert."
Host Hugh Bonneville was unable to help himself either as he kicked off the night at Windsor Castle saying: ""Doesn't it look nice? It's all thanks to His Majesty who was weeding at 7am this morning. One joked on Twitter: "Very patriotic of Katy Perry to come dressed as the penny toffee out of Quality Street #CoronationConcert," while another amused viewer commented: "Love how Katy Perry is wearing a Quality Street wrapper #CoronationConcert."One viewer wrote: "Kinda hilarious that Katy Perry sang Firework which references the 4th of July at the British King’s Coronation".
Jordan has been interviewing Nicole, 44 when King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived earlier than expected which prompted a voiceover from Kirsty.
