Corner Canyon and Lone Peak are no longer in the same region, but that didn't stop them from combining for a lively rivalry battle on Friday night.
The quarter-by-quarter score breakdown pretty much tells the whole story. Lone Peak kept it close in the first quarter and trailed 13-7 before Corner Canyon ran away with a 24-0 second quarter. The Knights matched it with a 22-0 third quarter, however, complete with an onside kick recovery and an interception in the end zone returned all the way to midfield.
"We play hard. I don't think we're lacking for that," Kjar said. "I think at times we focus really, really well, but I think we've lost it a couple times pretty fast, too. Like at halftime, I felt like we didn't come out as good as we should have."
