Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue confirmed a man died after a fire in Courtenay Gardens
Crews from London Road and Arnold's fire stations attended, but the fire service confirmed later in the afternoon that a man had died.and it remains in place at the time of writing. Neighbour Maureen Sharp, 89, said:"I didn't know the man but I feel very sorry for him, it's a shame."
Group Manager Tom Staples said:"I would like to send my condolences and those of Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service to the friends and family of the man involved in this incident. We are thinking of his loved ones at this sad time. An investigation into the cause is underway.
