Crime scene investigators were seen carrying boxes out of the residence in the 1200 block of Lancelot Lane.
A Bay Area News Group reporter witnessed crime scene investigators dressed in white protective suits and booties carrying boxes out of the residence in the 1200 block of Lancelot Lane.
Around 9 p.m., San Jose police Sgt. Scott Williams told this news organization that authorities were serving a search warrant and had already been at the home for several hours. The girl suffered the medical emergency around 10 a.m. Wednesday. According to 911 dispatch recordings, she was unconscious and not breathing, and later went into cardiac arrest.
The girl was taken to an area hospital, where she was placed on life support. An update on her condition was not immediately available Friday night. The home was previously subject to multiple police and welfare calls for suspected child negligence and “squalor,” according to sources familiar with the situation.
One source told this news organization at least one call to the home involved concern about the 8-year-old and another child being underfed and getting most of their nutrition at school.
