KUALA LUMPUR: The suspected GROs, club workers and manager who were arrested during an anti-vice raid early on a Jalan Imbi club on Saturday (March 13) will be sent to a hospital for Covid-19 checks as a precautionary measure.

He added said the procedure was taken in the interests of all parties.

Customers flocked to the establishment despite the general advice from the Health Ministry to refrain from congregating in large numbers. However, hygiene seemed to have been prioritised as there were several hand sanitizer dispensers located around the establishment. On the raid, SAC Nik Ros said that while the club had a valid licence, police detained 60 women suspected of working illegally as GROs.

"The suspected GROs were all dressed in white as part of the club's theme for that night. As a way to attract customers, visitors could give tips to the women from around RM100 to RM5,000 to get special services and attention," he said."All have been sent to the Dang Wangi police headquarters for further action," he said.
