SHAH ALAM: Police have seized some 300kg of drugs worth about RM11mil and busted two drug trafficking syndicates in Selangor.
Seven individuals were also detained during the operation conducted by a team from the Bukit Aman Narcotic Crime Investigation Department .
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said in the first case, three men were detained following a raid at a parking lot of an apartment in Damansara Perdana on Tuesday ."Follow-up operations led police to another male suspect in Shah Alam," he told a press conference at the Selangor police headquarters here on Friday .
In the second case, Comm Hussein said 28 blocks of heroin and a block of methamphetamine were seized following a raid at Port Klang on Tuesday."Further investigation led the team to a parking lot in Ampang, where heroin was seized from a car. "Follow-up operations led to the arrests of two men and a woman in Klang, Tanjung Malim and Cyberjaya, believed to be from the same syndicate," he said."The drugs from both syndicates were meant for the Klang Valley.The methamphetamine seized could have been supplied to 1.5 million drug users while the heroin could have been supplied to another 87,450 addicts, he said."Those with information on drug related activities should contact the nearest police station," he said.
