The alarm was raised after police received a report of a man seen with 'what appeared to be a firearm'
It is understood that a large police presence remained in place in the surrounding areas as searches were carried out, however, no man was found.Police have said their investigations into the report are ongoing.spokesperson said: “Around 4.25pm on Tuesday, May 2 police were called to a report of a man seen with what appeared to be a firearm, near to Shafton Road, Glasgow.
“Officers attended and searches were carried out in the local area, however, there was no trace of him."Police enquiries are continuing into this report."
